FEATURES OF THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MOTOR SKILLS AND MORPHOFUNCTIONAL STATE OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Abstract

The article presents the results of a correlation analysis of the physical fitness, functional state, and physical development indicators of senior preschool children. The significant informational relationships influencing the motor system of 5–6-year-old children were identified, allowing for the determination of pedagogical directions that can enhance the effectiveness of physical education. Purpose. The aim of the study is to determine the presence and informational significance of the relationships between physical fitness, functional state, and physical development indicators of senior preschool children. Materials and Methods. The research was conducted at Preschool Educational Institution No. 165 in Lviv, involving a sample of 90 children (55 boys and 35 girls) aged 5–6 years. The research methods included: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature; medical-biological methods (anthropometry, pulsemetry, spirometry, tonometry, index methods); pedagogical methods (observation, testing, experiment); and mathematical statistics methods (correlation analysis). Results. Significant relationships between morphofunctional indicators and the development level of key motor skills were identified. The highest number of correlations was observed between the Ruffier test, strength index, and speed-strength, coordination, speed abilities, flexibility, and strength endurance. Gender differences in the structure of relationships were found, confirming the need for a differentiated approach to physical education for preschool children. The results obtained can be used to optimize physical education programs aimed at the harmonious development of the children’s motor system.
