FEATURES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL INFLUENCE ON THE MOTIVATION OF ATHLETES IN FOOTBALL UNDER MARTIAL LAW

Abstract

The purpose of the study is the psychological influence on the motivation of a modern soccer athlete in Ukraine. Motivation has been found to be a critical factor in achieving high performance directly during the game of soccer, helping players maintain focus during periods of the match, as well as maintaining the game strategy and discipline set by the coaching staff. The main techniques of psychological influence on the motivation of athletes in football are singled out, in particular with the help of: the "goal setting" technique increases the ability to keep players focused and motivated, thereby stimulating them to improve their performances; mental image and visualization is designed to simulate certain game situations or imagine success on the field; focus and concentration training improves players' concentration during matches; stress management techniques keep players calm and collected during crucial moments of the match; the strategy of team cohesion ensures the strengthening of interpersonal relations and communication between players, which is important for the harmonious dynamics of the team and the achievement of collective goals; feedback and communication, players learn about their strengths and weaknesses and feel valued in the team. It was established that as a result of the introduction of martial law, new and modified methods of psychological influence on the motivation of athletes in football were formed, namely: increased attention to mental health, development of resilience through community involvement, adaptive training regimes, use of symbolism and patriotism, improved communication strategies, integration of technologies and data. It has been proven that modern sports psychology uses various techniques to motivate football players in Ukraine, emphasizing both the individual needs of the players and the dynamics of the team. Goal setting is at the heart of sports psychology because it provides players with specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound (SMART) goals.
