For authors
Publication conditions
To publish an article in Physical Activity, Health and Sports no. 1 (37)/2025, it is necessary to take the following steps until February 28, 2025:
- fill in an application form (link);
- send an original article which meets all the requirements to pahs.ldufk.lviv.ua@gmail.com, and a copy of the receipt for payment of the publication fee.
Academic integrity
The editorial staff carries out anonymous peer-reviews of articles and checks for plagiarism. All papers are subject to plagiarism check using StrikePlagiarism.com by the Polish company Plagiat.pl.
The electronic version of the journal will be posted on the website until May 15, 2025.
The printed version of the journal will be sent to authors of articles who order a printed copy by June 15, 2025.
The publication cost is 800 UAH (up to 12 pages inclusive). Each additional page is paid separately in the amount of 40 UAH. The publication fee covers the costs associated with review, proofreading and editing of articles, layout of the collection and placement of its electronic version.
The electronic version of the journal is timely placed in public access on the publication's website.
If desired, the author of the article can order a printed copy of the journal. The cost of a printed copy is UAH 800, which must be paid in addition to the publication fee.
Requirements for manuscripts
When submitting a manuscript to the journal, the authors shall confirm that it meets all the below requirements. If the submitted work is found to be inconsistent with these requirements, the editorial team will return the materials to the authors for revision.
Following scientific prose style, an article shall comprise the following structural elements: problem statement and its relevance to important scientific or practical tasks; analysis of recent research and publications that have initiated the solution of the problem concerned and the author relies on; identification of previously unresolved parts of the general problem the article is devoted to; formulation of research goals (task statement); presentation of the main research material with full justification of the scientific results obtained; conclusions and prospects for further research in the relevant area.
A manuscript is drafted using Microsoft Word without hyphenation and meets the following requirements: page size – A4; margins – 2 cm, font – Times New Roman, size (point) – 14, line spacing – 1.5; pages are not numbered.
- At the beginning of the article on the left – section title and UDC.
- On the right, bold, normal font – the article’s title in capitals.
- On the right, in separate lines: in bold, normal font - the name and initials of the author(s), academic degree and rank (if the author does not have an academic degree and title, it is used “postgraduate student”, “student”, “teacher”, etc.). ORCID, e-mail, and place of work/study – in italics below.
- Ukrainian abstract (1800 characters with spaces) with keywords (5-7 words).
- Title, information about the authors, abstract of 1800 characters incl. spaces, and 5-7 keywords in English. If the article is in English, the title and information about the author(s) are first presented in English and then in Ukrainian.
- Article text.
- The bibliography list is in alphabetical order in compliance with the current standards of bibliographic formatting.
- At the end of the article, References, the transliterated and translated into English version of the bibliography list meeting APA (American Psychological Association) style.
In-text citations are in square brackets – the title’s number in the list and page numbers.
Prohibition on using the aggressor state’s scholarly papers:
It is prohibited citing and including in the reference list Russian-language publications published in any country, including papers written in other languages but published in russia and belarus.
